For Families with Children
We have a particular area for families with children at Litjåsen. Here, children can play on skis, enjoy food experiences with grilled food and heart-shaped waffles from Røros, and experience entertainment for both young and old. What makes this area truly special is its proximity to the cross-country trails, offering a unique opportunity to experience the WSC stars up close.
Local Culinary Experiences
Enjoy locally sourced food and beverages in the public tent and VIP area. Additionally, several food stalls near the cross-country stadium and ski jumps will offer a diverse selection of delicious dishes.
Sustainable Transport
The WSC is facilitating a sustainable event where as many as possible travel by bus, tram, and train. The regular public transportation service will be reinforced with shuttle buses from Munkegata to Granåsen and back to Munkegata, with frequent morning and evening departures. Additionally, there will be park-and-ride facilities at Klett Community Center and Ikea Trondheim and commuter parking at train stations. From here, it will be possible to take the train/bus into the center of Trondheim.
Medal Ceremonies and Concerts
Trondheim Square will host medal ceremonies and concerts every evening during the championship. Famous artists and other exciting entertainment will perform before the NRK TV-broadcasted ceremonies from the stage right by Olav Tryggvason.
Entertainment in Granåsen
In Granåsen, we’ve entertainment for everyone. From the diverse entertainment on several stages to the official WSC merchandise and clothing available at our shops, you’ll be spoiled for choice. And let’s not forget our star attraction, the lovable WSC mascot Snedi, who’s always ready to dance, cuddle, and steal the show.
Pushing Boundaries
Trondheim 2025 aims to become the most sustainable WSC ever. For the first time, women and men will receive equal prize money and distances, and para-competitions will be historically included in the WSC program. We also value active efforts to reduce and measure the event’s climate impact. This will make the next championship in Falun, Sweden, in 2027 even better.
Get ready for a non-stop sports and cultural extravaganza! The 12 days of the championship will be packed with action, from the daytime competitions in Granåsen to the evening celebrations at Torvet. You’ll be treated to beautiful music, witness emotional athletes, and feel the chills down your spine. It’s an unforgettable celebration in Trondheim, where sports and culture, local food, and drinks come together for a fantastic experience. Don’t miss out-secure your tickets now for September 2nd!
