The ambassadors for the 2025 WSC will help create the celebration everyone dreams of while also working to ensure that the sport of skiing thrives well beyond the major event in Trondheim.
The World Championship organization held a kickoff for the ambassadors in Granåsen during Toppidrettsveka. The ambassador program includes former ski stars and dedicated enthusiasts. Additionally, international and national active athletes will join and be introduced later.
“We had a fantastic kickoff in Granåsen with our ambassadors. They are excited to contribute to the celebration and to convey how important major championships are for the sport, the athletes, and society,” says Ingvil Snøfugl, Head of PR and Media for Trondheim 2025.

The ambassadors were visited by Trondheim’s Mayor Kent Ranum and former Municipal Director Morten Wolden. “I participated in the World Championships in 1997 and experienced an incredible celebration. I want to be part of the team that helps create a new ski festival in Granåsen,” says Roar Ljøkelsøy.

Berit Aunli is also looking forward to contributing as an ambassador.
“When we have a World Championship in the region and are asked to be ambassadors, it’s only natural that we step up to spread positive messages,” says Berit Aunli.
