The cross-country skiing elite looks forward to the test World Championships kickoff in Granåsen on December 15. Ticket are now on sale.
The World Cup circus is finally returning to Trondheim and Granåsen. In the World Championships venue, there will be thousands of Norwegian flags, resounding cheers, and the world’s best cross-country skiers in action. Sprint, skiathlon, and a 10 km race are on the program.
“The test World Championships in Granåsen will be the season’s highlight. We are excited to showcase our skills to an enthusiastic home crowd on the World Championships trails,” says national team skier Even Northug.”
World Championships Atmosphere
On Tuesday, November 7th at noon, ticket sales begin for the World Cup in Granåsen from December 15th to 17th. Many of the athletes are excited to test the World Championships trails.
“We are ready for an unforgettable ski festival in Granåsen. It’s going to be fantastic to gather the world’s elite and get a taste of what’s to come when we host the World Championships in 2025,” says Marketing Manager Haakon Jensen of Trondheim 2025.
Day tickets for adults cost 250 NOK, children between 6 and 15 years old cost 100 NOK, while children under six have free admission.
“We hope for well-executed events and valuable lessons for the organization in the upcoming season. The test World Championships will be exciting and fun. We are ready,” says CEO Åge Skinstad of Trondheim 2025.

Sprint (f) qualification: 10:00 -11:10
Sprint (f) finals: 12:30 – 14:10
Saturday December 16:
Skiathlon 10 km (c) + 10 km (f), women: 11:10 – 12:15
Skiathlon 10 km (c) + 10 km (f), men: 13:15 – 14:30
Sunday December 17:
10 km (c) interval, men: 11:00 – 12:25
10 km (c) interval, women: 13:15 – 14:30
