Tickets for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim are selling fast! Just two days before the event, new figures show that 192,000 tickets have already been sold.
“Ticket sales are taking off now. We can see that people realize they need to secure their tickets before it’s too late,” says Championship Director Åge Skinstad.
Several days are already sold out: March 1, March 6, and March 8. There are only a few hundred tickets left for the opening day. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Kristine Stavås Skistad will kick off the championship with the sprint race on Thursday, February 27, and that day is nearly sold out as well.

Expect packed grandstands on:
- Saturday, March 1 (Men’s Skiathlon)
- Thursday, March 6 (Men’s Relay)
- Saturday, March 8 (Large Hill Ski Jumping & Men’s 50 km)
On many other days, the ticket sales are also selling well, and Skinstad has big ambitions for the rest of the ticket sales.
“Our goal is to sell 220,000 tickets before the championship ends. In addition, we want to fill the forest trails with happy ski fans throughout the event,” he says.

Skinstad encourages everyone to buy tickets as soon as possible to experience Norway’s biggest winter celebration of the decade before it’s too late.
– “Waiting for the weather forecast is no longer a good strategy. If you hesitate, you might miss your chance to experience the World Championships on home soil,” Skinstad says.
