Team area

Granåsen was upgraded by Trondheim Municipality ahead of the WSC and was completed in 2023. Our team area SJ is quite different and more compact than most. It was upgraded with the vision of a sustainable arena, and also a desire to bring the athletes closer to the spectators. By not building new infrastructure and rather using the existing shooting halls, we help keep our carbon footprint at a minimum. As a bonus we keep Granåsen compact and efficient for everyday use, and we preserve nature and wildlife in our precious “Bymarka”. 

Team area SJ arena is located in the main SJ arena building Lower floor 1(U1) and Lower floor 2(U2). Utilizing our limited space is key, and we strive to treat nations equally.  

There is one change cabin for each nation, discipline and gender (no waiting because of tight schedule, can leave equipment). Change cabins for SJ are located in U1, while change cabins for NC are located in U2.  

There is one wax cabin for each nation and discipline (some sharing between cooperating nations). Wax cabin is for both SJ and NC located in U1.  

Size allocation is according to the number of athletes, and cooperating nations are incorporated as advised by FIS. The wax cabin area is equipped with purpose built ventilation. 

Warm up area is located in U2. Relax area with TV and private phone booths in both floors.

Wax cabins will be available from Wednesday 19^th February, and the race office will provide lockers for the wax cabins. A charge of 40 CHF will apply for any lost or unreturned lockers.
